Mediterranean Forest Week is a biennial event that serves as a platform for cooperation among researchers, policy makers and stakeholders, fostering dialogue on the challenges faced by Mediterranean forests.

The 8th Mediterranean Forest Week (8MFW) will take place in the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, Barcelona – declared as a world heritage site by UNESCO. 8MFW will delve into solutions and initatives for the restoration and sustainable management of Mediterranean Forest ecosystems.

At this event, we will share the outcomes of a focus group discussion, organised in collaboration with WWF – Spain, that will explore opportunities to expand the reach of the standards for the certification of ecological restoration projects of forests in Spain.
