RECENT OUTPUTS

YOUNG#ER members contribute to conferences, publications, and discussions on the role of emerging professionals in ecological restoration.

A member of the network co-organised the workshop “The Role of Emerging Scientists in Restoration Ecology” at the virtual component of the 10th World Conference on Ecological Restoration (2023).

Following this, a paper title “The role of emerging scientists in restoration ecology: insights from a SER2023 conference workshop” was published in Restoration Ecology exploring the roles, challenges, and contributions of early-career professionals in ecological restoration. The work highlights structural barriers such as limited funding opportunities and emphasises the importance of inclusive, non-hierarchical professional networks.
