The European Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration had an inspiring and active presence at #SER2025 held from the 30th September to the 5th October, in the city of Denver, Colorado!

Our members, colleagues and friends contributed to numerous sessions across a wide range of themes, sharing insights and challenges, presenting their valuable research, and engaging in discussions that advance ecological restoration globally.
We were also proud to celebrate the runner-up feature film, “Ostrea edulis – The Resilience of the European Native Flat Oyster”, at the conference film festival—a creative and compelling showcase of restoration storytelling that was highly commended by the committee and over 500 film festival attendees.
Beyond sessions and screenings, #SER2025 was a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues, meet fellow members, and strengthen both our European and international restoration community. Events like these highlight the collaborative spirit that drives ecological restoration forward.

The Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) Europe look forward to welcoming you to Brest for the 15th European Conference on Ecological Restoration (#SERE2026), and would like to share the exciting news that the next global conference will come home to Lisbon in 2027 (#SER2027)!!
Stay tuned this week to find out what else we got up to at #SER2025!
