SER-Europe is inviting input to help shape a new set of Best Practice Guidelines for Peatland Restoration.
On 13 October, we host an expert review webinar on the draft guidelines, an output of the ALFAwetlands project and part of the Nature Restoration Guidelines series led by the INBO (Research Institute for Nature and Forest – Instituut voor Natuur- en Bosonderzoek).
The session brings together practitioners, land managers, decision-makers, and investors to review the draft guidelines and the accompanying Peatland Restoration Best Practice Guideline Tool, and to assess whether the guidance is technically accurate and useful, and whether it is user-friendly and effective for education and training.
It includes an introduction to the ALFAwetlands project, a presentation of the Guideline Tool by Maud Raman (INBO), and two facilitated discussion groups examining the technical content and educational value of the guidance, closing with recommendations to strengthen it. Your expertise will directly shape the final guidelines.
