Dear SER-Europe Members,
You’re invited to our General Membership Meeting that will take place in Brest, France during the 15th European Conference on Ecological Restoration SERE2026. This is an important chance to engage with our Society, review activities, and help shape our future.

Registration: All active members can join in person or by proxy. Remote participation will be available for those who register for it here.
Purpose of the Meeting
The General Membership Meeting provides members with an opportunity to review SER-Europe’s activities and finances, discuss strategic priorities, receive updates on major organisational developments, and exchange views on the future direction of the Chapter.

1. Opening of the Meeting (15:15 – 15:20)
- Welcome and opening remarks by the Chair of the Board, Prof. Aveliina Helm
- Confirmation of the agenda and timing
2. Activity and Financial Report presentation by Boris/BOD (15:20 – 15:35)
Presentation of SER-Europe’s activities and organisational development during 2025–2026, including:
- Overview of major achievements and strategic initiatives
- Membership development
- Key projects, partnerships and policy engagement
- Financial report and organisational outlook
Questions from members.
3. Priorities for SER-Europe in 2026–2027 presentation by BOD/Aveliina (15:35 – 15:45)
Presentation of the Board’s strategic priorities for the coming year, including:
- Programme priorities
- Policy engagement
- Scientific and practitioner networks
- Capacity building and member services
- Partnerships and fundraising
Brief discussion.
4. Presentation of Shortlisted Candidates to Host the SERE2028 European Conference on Ecological Restoration (15:45 – 15:55)
Presentations by the shortlisted candidate host organisations (time permitting, we expect 2-3), followed by:
- Questions from members
- Information on the selection process and timeline
5. Roundtable Discussion with SER-Europe Affiliates and Members (15:55 – 16:15)
An open moderated discussion inviting comments, suggestions and questions from:
- SER-Europe Affiliate organisations
- Individual members
- Working Groups
- Early Career members
Topics may include opportunities for collaboration, emerging priorities, member engagement, and future initiatives.
