SUMMARY:Restoring free-flowing European Rivers: Prioritization Methods and Tools
DESCRIPTION:In summary\, the workshop aims to bring participants up to speed on what methods and tools are tried\, tested\, and in development\, and to act as a first sounding board involving the key European actors with a stake in the topic. The event will cover the pan-Europe to basin scale perspective in terms of prioritisation approaches\, including details on how the methodologies were developed\, utility aspects\, and strategic questions that need answering to get the best results – all to support the ongoing and future implementation aspects around the EU 2030 Biodiversity Strategy and Nature Restoration Plan. \nSpeakers include WWF Switzerland (Acquaviva)\, WWF European Policy Office\, The Nature Conservancy\, Swansea University\, REVIVO Institute Slovenia and Member State Representatives who have looked into the topic and wish to share their thoughts\, knowledge and experience on prioritisation for restoration efforts under the new EU 2030 Biodiversity Strategy. \nProgramme and further details: Prioritization 8th June 21 Workshop Draft_21_05.
