SUMMARY:The General Assembly of the European Union of Geoscientists
DESCRIPTION:The EGU 2024 includes a large number of sessions on soil system sciences. The session  Soil Pollution and Reclamation (SSS7) focuses on restoration and includes the international session Reclamation\, Recultivation and Restoration in UN decade of Ecosystem Restoration\, is convened by Jan Frouz\, Biology Cetre of ISSB\, Czechia. The aim of this session is to discuss general concepts\, techniques\, and outcomes as well as the social and environmental relevance of ecosystem restoration. Contributions describing specific restoration projects or techniques as well as more general contributions are welcome. The session is supported by the journal Land Degradation and Development\, presenters are encouraged to submit their contributions to a special issue in this journal. \nThe deadline for abstract submission is 10 January 2024\, 13:00 CET. \nMore information about EGU2024 can be found here.
